These set-asides come from the Buy Indian Act, which lets the Department of the Interior (Bureau of Indian Affairs) and the Indian Health Service give preference to Indian Economic Enterprises (IEEs), generally businesses at least 51% owned by one or more Indians or a federally recognized tribe. An Indian Small Business Economic Enterprise (ISBEE) is an IEE that is also small under SBA size standards. Check the solicitation for the representation the agency requires, and confirm on SAM.gov Contract Opportunities.
