Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) set-asides are reserved for firms in SBA's WOSB Federal Contract program, and only for industries (NAICS codes) where SBA has found women-owned businesses underrepresented. A WOSB must be small under SBA size standards, at least 51% owned and controlled by women who are U.S. citizens, and managed day to day by women. Certification through the SBA Certifications portal (free) or an SBA-approved third-party certifier is required before bidding.
